Staff and Education

At our building, we have RNs, LPNs, STNAs, PTs, OTs, STs, MDs, and NPs. We also have dietary techs and housekeeping. The nurses, aides, and therapists have had all their education either at college or a tech school. They are state-tested and have to do continuing education to keep their licenses. We also have a counselor, psychiatrist, and psychologist.

Safety Measures

As far as safety measures, we have 2 secured units that have a code to get in and out. We also have a wonder guard system in place for residents that are a high elopement risk. This is basically a bracelet that they wear and if they get close to any exit doors, an alarm goes off to lock the door and alert staff so they can be redirected. At night, the building is locked for general safety.

Counseling and Social Work

We have a counselor available to help with the transition to our skilled nursing facility and social workers.

Dining Services

We have a dining room that is open for all three meals. It is restaurant-style, so there are menus on the table and residents can order what they want for each meal. If a resident doesn’t want to come to the dining room, they can eat in their room and they are given the main meal unless they want to change it.

Complaint and Issue Resolution

If a resident has a complaint or an issue, they just let the social worker know and they try to resolve it as soon as possible. The administrator is notified of all complaints.

Communication Policy

Our policy on communication is that if there is a change of condition or a new order, their POA or guardian receives a phone call. Family can also call and check in with staff when they are visiting. There are also care conferences every 3 months, but family can request one at any time.

Stay Options and Costs

We offer short-term and respite stays. A month for a semi-private room is around $8,000, and a private room is around $10,000.

Pet Policy

We are a skilled nursing home so pets can’t live with residents, but as long as we have a copy of their vaccine records, they can visit anytime.

Availability

We currently only have a waitlist for our Memory Care & Mental Health Units.

Vaccinations

Residents are able to get flu and COVID vaccines only if they want them.

Living Arrangements

Residents are able to age in place, but we are a skilled nursing home so we don’t have Independent Living or Assisted Living. It is all 24/7 nursing.
